Biofeedback

According to the Journal of Neurotherapy, biofeedback is an effective method for addressing a
wide variety of symptoms (shaking legs, sweaty palms, fast heart rate) prevalent in numerous
conditions, such as anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and depression. Biofeedback helps clients to
increase awareness of bodily signs of psychological distress (increased heart rate, muscle
tension, rapid breathing, body temperature) and to practice the skills learned in therapy.
Biofeedback is effective for decreasing stress and anxiety and promoting adaptive self-regulation, executive control, and optimal levels of arousal.
